This research summary and analysis allowed me to engage in scholarly research regarding the impact of multimedia integration within instructional settings. The primary and supplemental articles I focused on offered data regarding the effectiveness of implementing game-based student response systems (GSRS) within academic courses. I analyze the impact that this form of multimedia has on student engagement and academic achievement and furthermore, the impact it has on classroom dynamics, motivation, and learning. These systems ultimately create fun and engaging environments which increase engagement, motivation, and performance for students when implemented appropriately within a course.
