Chat GPT: Understanding AI's Impact in Education
After extensive research and conversations with other learning professionals, I created this presentation to deliver to River Oaks Baptist School. In multiple organization-wide presentations, I informed administrators, staff, and faculty about AI, specifically Chat GPT. The presentation guided employees through considerations on how we can use it as well as how we should respond to it. Furthermore, I led an interactive workshop and facilitated discussion around the organizational response to AI in school settings.

Micro-Learning and Stackable Credentials
An alternative credential or in some cases micro-credentials are digital certifications that verify an individual’s competence in a specific skills or set of skills learned by proving competence in a specific skill via a portfolio of evidence which can result in a digital badge or certification. Stackable credentials refer to when students or professionals are able to earn micro-credentials and can then ‘stack’ these credentials together in place of a university degree or apply the stacked credentials toward completing a degree path. This presentation considers the benefits and challenges in implementing these programs in higher education as well as provides examples of current stackable credential programs at different educational institutions.

Applying Gamification
Gamification is the application of typical gaming elements within learning experiences such as point scoring, competition, narrative paths, levels, and awards or achievement, My group presented in response to a specific scenario where gamification needed to be applied effectively in a situation where students with limited interaction in online educational technology needed to engage in a course within a learning management system. Gamification could help students explore the new LMS and have an interactive learning experience in a low-stakes and engaging way.
